FFV Omega HD Simultaneous Playback and Record DVR

The 301-TA047-1 Omega HD DVR from Fast Forward Video is one of the first DVRs on the market capable of handling high definition broadcast quality video. This makes it an obvious choice for use in managing the viewing and recording of HD cameras, both in security and conventional video applications. Of the three different Omega HD versions available, this one has the distinction of being able to simultaneously record and play back HD quality video. This means that a user will be able to replay a clip in slow motion at the same time recording is taking place, without missing a beat.

In accordance with its specialized nature, this DVR uses the J2K compression method, a codec known for its ability to maintain outstanding image quality while keeping file sizes to a minimum.

DVR functions are conveniently accessed using a touch screen panel in combination with a jog shuttle controller. Recorder functions can also be accessed from a distance using an industry standard RS-422 keyboard controller.
